Staff Team Lead in Voice Support Engineering at Twilio. Voice AI built after hours, on real telephony, with my own hands.
I help lead a ~40-engineer team across three regions supporting Twilio's Voice and CPaaS products. The work: tooling that makes engineers faster, documentation that makes knowledge compound, the escalations that drive the right fixes upstream, and developing the next generation of leads.
Off-hours, I build. Voice agents on Conversation Relay. Spaced-repetition study tools wired to Claude. AWS-deployed indie projects that have to pay for themselves on $10/month budgets. The voice AI work I do publicly comes out of those builds — shipped, broken, debugged, and shipped again.
Voice AI is the part I'm focused on right now. The wider stack underneath: SIP, WebRTC, PSTN routing, real-time STT/TTS through Deepgram, ElevenLabs, and Google. Latency budgets that survive the leap from a local demo to a real phone call. The multi-leg call flows that only come up when real customers are on real lines.
Alongside the voice work: full-stack web, AWS, Node.js and TypeScript, and networking. I hold certifications in SIP, WebRTC, KCS, and Intelligent Swarming.
